The 2009 season is underway with hundreds of players all improving their skills and enjoying friendly competition.
Rowayton Youth Soccer
Rowayton Youth Soccer is a recreational community soccer program run by volunteers for children from 4-14 years old. While games are certainly competitive, recreation is our priority: the time commitment is limited to two days and a couple of hours per week; all play occurs locally in Rowayton (except for middle-schoolers); practices are run as clinics by a professional trainer; and referees, scoring and team standings are limited to the older age groups, beginning with the 8-11 year olds.
The 2009 Rowayton Youth Soccer program consists of four different age groups and will run for 10 weeks from September 5 through November 7. Our on-line registration program has been closed for this year. Registrations received after August 28 incurred a late-fee of $25 and were accepted on a space-available basis only.

Four Different Age Groups
4-5 Year-Olds:
The 4-5 year-olds play games at McKinley Field adjacent to Rowayton School Saturday mornings at 9:00am. If enough children for each age group participate, then we have split the two ages up in the past. Practices occur once a week by age group at the same location from 3:45-5:00pm as follows:
4-year-olds on Mondays
5-year-olds on Tuesdays
6-7 Year-Olds:
The 6-7 year-olds play games at McKinley Field adjacent to Rowayton School Saturday mornings at 10:00am. Practices occur once a week by age group at the same location from 3:45-5:00pm as follows:
6-year-olds on Wednesdays
7-year-olds on Thursdays
8-11 Year-Olds:
The 8-11 year-olds (children through 5th grade only) consist of 6 teams that play games on a full-sized field at Roton Middle School with Saturday morning starting times of 8:30, 10:00 or 11:30am. Practices occur once a week by team at the same location from 5:00-6:30pm as follows:
Ireland and Scotland on Tuesdays
Portugal and England on Wednesdays
Italy and Argentina on Thursdays
Middle School:
The middle school league for 12-14 year-olds consists of separate boys and girls teams that travel to adjacent communities in lower Fairfield County on Saturdays. McKinley Field next to Rowayton School is the home field, but Roton is also used. Practices occur once a week by gender at the home field from 5:00-6:30pm as follows:
Girls on Tuesdays
Boys on Fridays
