The mission of the Rowayton Civic Association is to enrich the lives of Rowayton residents and neighbors through providing cultural programs, educational events and supporting local community initiatives. The RCA invites all residents to become involved in the RCA through volunteerism and helping to identify the needs of our community.
About the RCA
The Rowayton Civic Association was created in 1911, even before the formation of the Sixth Taxing District. It has been instrumental in bringing about many community improvements, among them the purchase of the beach property by the District in 1943.
The RCA exists for cultural and educational purposes, and as a forum for residents to voice their concerns about the community. There are no dues, as it is supported by contributions and fundraising events. Under the by-laws, all residents and property owners of voting age in the District are automatically members of the Association. The annual meeting of members is held each February.
