Don’t miss our 9th annual Family Fun Paddle Season Opener

On Sunday, October 18th, from 1:30 - 4:30 PM all are welcome to attend the 9th annual Rowayton Platform Tennis Season Opener. The event is held at paddle courts on Highland Avenue behind the Library.

Bring your family and enjoy refreshments, hamburgers, hot dogs and grab some court time as we kick off the 2008-2009 Platform Tennis season.

The Rowayton Platform Tennis Association, in partnership with the USA Professional Platform Tennis Association (PPTA) will host the FREE event. We encourage all past, current or potentially new platform tennis or “Paddle” players to attend.

Our very own resident pro's Bob Callaway and Bill Pank will be conducting free clinics for adults as well as children, so don’t forget your paddles.

The primary purpose of the event is to introduce the sport of Platform Tennis to area residents, show them the equipment involved, answer questions and give them a chance to try out their racket skills. Players of all ages and experience levels are invited.

Members of the Rowayton Platform Tennis Association will be on hand to answer questions regarding membership in the RPTA, ways to get playing, events and leagues to enter. RPTA members will answer questions regarding lessons, clinics and equipment.

Membership in the Rowayton Platform Tennis Assocation is open to all residents at an annual fee. Four heated courts, maintained by the Assocation, are on the District land between Rowayton School and the Community Center. Tournaments and interclub matches are arranged; lessons are available.

Single with unlimited guests - $110.00
Family - $120.00
Single - $90.00
Junior - $60.00
Non Residents add an additional $35.00 to the annual membership fee.

All dues must be paid by November 1. Family includes children up to 24 years. Dues include Capital improvements and $6.00 Insurance Assessment. $3.00 Rowayton Paddle Tennis Assocation is organized and run by volunteer members.
