  Rowayton Community Center

In 1966 the District purchased part of the Farrell Estate, devoting part of the existing building and grounds for use as a community center. It is used by the scouts, youth activities and the Parents Exchange, as well as other various civic associations. Residents may rent the space for private functions.

The field area is open to the community, it is the starting point for the annual Miles for Myles Fun Run / Walk and used daily as a meeting spot for dog owners.

In the spring, the lower parking lot area serves as a farmer's market with fresh local produce, baked goods and plants.

The Rowayton Public Library is located in the Community Center buiding, has approximately 25,000 books and current copies of more than 70 periodicals, with professional staff on hand to assist users. Activities for ages 3 - 12 are conducted in the Children's area of the Library.

Information about various communtiy organizations and district activities are posted in the Library.
