United Church of Rowayton
"2 x 4's" Tuesday Luncheons

The United Church of Rowayton 2 x 4 Lunch Bunch meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month starting October 13th.  They meet in the Meeting House behind the United Church of Rowayton sanctuary. Social time starts at 11:30am, lunch follows at 12 noon and entertainment begins at 12:45pm. Lunch, dessert and coffee are provided on the second Tuesday.  Bring your own lunch on the fourth Tuesday. Coffee and dessert are always provided. The tentative schedule is as follows:

 
Oct 27th - The Hoot Owls

Nov 10th - The Blue Notes

Nov 24th - Park Street Singers

Dec 8th - Holiday program
The schedule is subject to change. Donations are most welcome to help defray expenses. Everyone is welcome regardless of age or church affiliation. Contact Kris Jenkins to make a reservation at 866-1415.
 


Looking For a Winter Racquet Sport Game? Come Play Rowayton Paddle Tennis!

Join the Rowayton Platform Tennis Association at the Community Center and enjoy a great outdoor fall/winter sport and their comfortable warming hut. The Family Fun Day Season Opener is Sunday, October 18th from 1:30-4pm.  At opening day there will be food, fun and free lessons for the whole family. You do not need to be a member to attend.  If you would like to join, go to www.rowaytonpaddle.com, for information on league play, lessons and their Jr. program for kids 8 and up, managed by Bill Pank. Rowayton Parents Exchange

The Rowayton Parents Exchange (RPE) is an association of approximately 150 families residing in Rowayton, Norwalk and Darien with new babies and preschool-aged children. The RPE was formed to bring new families in the community together through social and educational programs that appeal to all family members. The RPE is a wonderful way to expand your social circle, get involved in the community and have fun! A sampling of the September events are: Cupcake Social for the whole family, New Moms coffee, Family pizza party at Bayley Beach, and Fun on the Farm. October events include: Firehouse Event for kids, Couples Wine Tasting, Pumpkin Picking and Hay Rides, Halloween party and Arts & Crafts Social. In November, you can join the socializing at the popular Couples Bowling Night and in December, they host a memorable Holiday Auction Party. There are also Book Club meetings every month. The Rowayton Library

The Rowayton Library has been an integral part of this community, organized and supported by public-spirited citizens, for more than 100 years. There is a lot happening at the Rowayton Library with many exciting new books, movies, resources, and programs:

  • Thousands of DVDs, CD Audiobooks, New Mysteries, Fiction, Staff Favorites, "book group" selections, and more. If you can't find it at the Rowayton Library, they will do their best to get it for you.

  • Services - including color and b/w copying, printing, faxing, scanning, Internet access, WiFi hot spot, online databases and readers advisory
  • Get your RCA bumper sticker, the Rowayton Historical Society's Rowayton on the Half Shell and RHS' 50th Anniversary book Historic Rowayton published in September in addition to other Rowayton Library merchandise
