2010 RCA Board Update

At our Annual Meeting in February, we welcomed four new members to the RCA Board: Patrick Steele, June Anderson, Wendy Ford and Lori Goertz. Patrick will add his expertise to land use and will be in charge of Light Up Rowayton. June will be co-chair of the River Ramble. Wendy will be adding her expertise to several committees including Fireworks and Marketing and Lori will bring her extensive Marketing and Fundraising experience to the RCA. We are thrilled to have them on board.

Also at our Annual Meeting we said goodbye to four dear friends and outgoing members who have each spent four years on the RCA Board dedicating themselves to the residents of Rowayton: our incredible president of two years Laurie Jones who gave us so much guidance and wisdom. Karen Casey, our spectacular and very organized secretary, was someone who we depended on for a voice of reason. Hugh Kelly led a great Halloween event each year to the delight of children of all ages. Bruce Wilkinson put in numerous hours helping plan the unparalleled fireworks with Karen and was a wonderful co-chair of Rowayton soccer and Gerard Hallock put on the beautiful Rowayton light display at the holidays. I know I speak on behalf of all residents in saying how deeply grateful we are to each of you for your time, talents and dedication to Rowayton.

Thanks to the generous donation of an RCA board member who funded the printing costs, all of the proceeds from the sales of the decals go directly to fund your favorite RCA events such as the Memorial Day Parade, Fireworks, Summer Music Festival, Holiday Lights and many more.
